How do I change the tempo/BPM?

To change the tempo on the EP-133:

Quick tempo change: 1. Press the tempo button 2. Turn the X knob to adjust BPM 3. The display shows the current tempo value 4. Release tempo to confirm

Tap tempo: 1. Press tempo button 2. Tap the tempo button rhythmically at your desired speed 3. The EP-133 calculates the average and sets the BPM

Tempo range:

  • The EP-133 supports tempos from approximately 30 to 300 BPM
  • Default project tempo is typically 120 BPM

Notes:

  • Tempo is saved per project
  • Changing tempo affects all patterns and sequences
  • Samples with loop points will time-stretch to match tempo
  • MIDI sync can override local tempo when connected to external gear

Pro tip: When sampling, the tempo you're at when you record affects how the sample syncs. For best results, set your target tempo before sampling loops.
