How do I use the dimension expander effect?

EP-1320tutorialguide

The dimension expander is one of seven built-in effects that stretches mono audio into stereo space.

Accessing the Effect

Press pocus while playing to enter effects mode. Use the minus and plus buttons to cycle through effects until you reach the dimension expander (it's effect number 7).

Controls

Move the faedr up to apply the effect to your currently selected group. The faedr controls the overall amount of the effect.

KnobX adjusts the modulation speed, controlling how quickly the stereo movement happens.

KnobY sets the internal delay length, which determines the width and character of the stereo spread.

Using It Effectively

The dimension expander works best on mono sources like basslines, single instrument recordings, or centered vocal samples. It adds width and space to sounds that otherwise sit in the center of your mix. Try combining it with other groups playing without the effect for interesting stereo separation between your tracks.

You can also use punch-in effects by holding pocus and pressing pads for momentary application during performance.
