How do I sample a sound on the EP-1320?

Sampling on the EP-1320 captures audio from the built-in microphone or line input and stores it in one of 500 available user slots.

Basic Sampling

  1. 1.Press altero + demus (sample) to enter sample mode. The paeds will blink.
  2. 2.Press and hold any paed to start recording. The display shows the recording level.
  3. 3.Release the paed to stop recording. The sample is automatically stored in the next available slot.

Input Source Selection

Toggle between input sources using -/+:

  • Stereo (LR) - both channels
  • Left (L) - left channel only
  • Right (R) - right channel only
  • Mono center (C) - mono mix

Level Control

Both KnobX and KnobY control the input amplitude while in sample mode. Adjust these to prevent clipping or boost quiet sources.

Choose Specific Slot

To save to a specific slot instead of the next available one:

  1. 1.Hold sonus, type the slot number on the paeds, press intra
  2. 2.Then press altero + demus and record as normal

Exit Sampling

Press manus to return to main mode. Your sample is now ready to use in sound mode.
