How do I sample a sound on the EP-1320?
Sampling on the EP-1320 lets you record any sound directly to a paed using the built-in microphone or the stereo line input.
Enter sample mode
Hold altero and press demus to enter sample mode. All the paeds will light up and blink to show they are ready to record.
Record your sample
Press and hold a paed to start recording. The EP-1320 will record for as long as you hold the paed down. Release it to stop recording. Once recorded, that paed will stop blinking and stay lit.
Audition your sample
Press the paed again to hear what you recorded. If it is not quite right, go back into sample mode and re-record to the same paed.
Choosing your input source
If you are recording from an external source plugged into the line input, press minus or plus while in sample mode to choose between:
- Stereo (LR)
- Left channel only (L)
- Right channel only (R)
- Summed mono center (C)
Choosing a specific save slot
If you want to save your sample to a specific slot, hold sonus, type the slot number using the paeds, press intra, then press altero and demus to start sampling.
Exit sample mode
Press manus to leave sample mode and return to the main screen. Your sample is saved automatically and can be found in the sound library.
