How do I create a pattern on the EP-1320?

You create patterns by recording or sequencing notes on one of the four groups (A-D). Each group can hold up to 99 patterns, and each pattern can be up to 99 bars long.

Live Recording

  1. 1.Select a group (press Group A, Group B, Group C, or Group D)
  2. 2.Press codex (record) to arm recording, then press fabula (play) for a count-in
  3. 3.Play notes on the paeds during recording
  4. 4.Press fabula to stop playback and recording, or press codex to stop recording while continuing playback

Step Sequencing

  1. 1.Select a group
  2. 2.Hold altero + minus until the display shows step 1.1.1
  3. 3.Hold codex + press a paed to place a note on that step
  4. 4.Press minus or plus to navigate to the next step and repeat

Pattern Length

To change pattern length, press codex then use plus to increase bar count (up to 99 bars). You can also change length while playing by holding codex + minus/plus.

New Pattern

Press altero + Group A to create a new blank pattern in the selected group.
