How do I create a pattern on the EP-1320?
EP-1320tutorialguide
You can create a pattern on the EP-1320 either by playing live into the sequencer or by programming it step by step. Both methods work great and can even be combined.
Load a project and assign sounds
- 1.Hold manus (main) and press one of the paeds 1-9 to load a project.
- 2.Press sonus (sound) to enter sound mode, then select a group (Group A through Group D) and a paed.
- 3.Press minus or plus to browse sounds and assign them to your paeds.
Record live
- 1.Press manus to return to main mode.
- 2.Press codex (record), then press fabula (play) to hear a four-beat count-in and start recording.
- 3.Hit the paeds to play your beat, then press fabula to stop.
Step sequence instead
- 1.Hold altero and minus until the display shows 1.1.1 to go to the first step.
- 2.Hold codex and press a paed to record that sound to the current step.
- 3.Use minus and plus to move between steps and continue placing notes.
Adjust pattern length
Hold codex then press plus to extend the pattern length beyond the default one bar. Patterns can be up to 99 bars long.
Once you are happy with your pattern, press altero and manus to committo and save it as a scene.
