How do I get started with the EP-1320?

EP-1320tutorialguide

The EP-1320 Medieval comes loaded with factory sounds ready to use. Start by exploring existing demo songs (press demus while stopped and select paed 1-9), then create your own beat by loading sounds into groups and recording patterns.

Quick Start Workflow

  1. 1.Press manus (main) and hold it while pressing a paed (1-9) to select or create a new project. Projects 6-9 are empty on new units.
  2. 2.Press sonus (sound), select Group A and a paed, then use minus/plus to scroll through factory sounds. Drums are slots 1-69, which work well for Group A.
  3. 3.Press manus to return to main mode.
  4. 4.Tap codex (record), then fabula (play) to start recording with a count-in. Hit paeds to record your beat. Press fabula again to stop.
  5. 5.Switch to Group B and load a bass sound (instruments are slots 115-127). Press claves (keys) to enable chromatic keyboard mode across the 12 paeds.
  6. 6.Record a bassline the same way: codex then fabula, play notes, stop with fabula.
  7. 7.Press pocus (effects) while playing and move the faedr (fader) up to add effects. Use minus/plus to switch between the 7 built-in effects.
  8. 8.Press altero + manus to committo (commit) your work and save the current arrangement as a scene.

Tips

Factory sounds are organized as: drums (1-69), phrases (70-114), instruments (115-127), one shots (128-155), SFX/foley (156-220). Typical group organization: A = drums, B = bass, C = melodies, D = loops or samples.
