EP-1320tutorialguide
Getting started with the EP-1320 is straightforward. Load a project, fill your groups with sounds, then record or step-sequence a beat, and add effects when you're ready.
Load a project and add sounds
- 1.Hold manus (main) and press one of paeds 1-9 to select a project. Projects 6-9 are empty out of the box.
- 2.Press sonus (sound mode), select Group A, then press a paed. Use minus and plus to scroll through available sounds and fill all 12 paeds.
- 3.Repeat for the other groups. The manual suggests Group A for drums, Group B for bass, Group C for melodies, and Group D for loops and samples.
Record a beat
- 1.Press manus to return to main mode.
- 2.Tap codex (record) then fabula (play) for a four-beat count-in, then hit the paeds to record your beat.
- 3.Press fabula to stop, or codex to keep playing but stop recording.
- 4.Press altero and manus to committo, saving your patterns as a scene before building on them.
Add effects and build your song
- 1.Press claves (keys mode) to play sounds across the paeds like a keyboard for basslines and melodies.
- 2.Press pocus to browse effects, then hold pocus and press paeds for punch-in effects during performance.
- 3.Hold altero and press demus to enter sample mode and record your own sounds using the built-in mic or line input.
