How do I change the tempo (tempus)?

You can adjust the tempo by pressing tempus and using KnobX to change the BPM. The knob range is 60-180 BPM, but you can access the full 40-399 BPM range by typing numbers directly.

Basic Tempo Control

Press tempus to enter tempo mode. Turn KnobX to adjust BPM. Turn KnobY to control metronome volume.

Precise BPM Entry

Hold tempus and type your desired BPM on the paeds, then press intra. The EP-1320 supports decimal values like 120.51 for precise tempo matching.

Tap Tempo

Press tempus repeatedly at your desired rhythm. The device will calculate and set the BPM automatically.

Tempo Match from Audio

Hold demus + tempus to auto-detect tempo from incoming audio at the line input. This is useful for syncing to existing tracks or records.
