How do I change the tempo (tempus)?

Press tempus to enter tempo mode. You can set the BPM using the knobs, by tapping, or by typing a number directly.

Using the knob

Turn knobx to adjust the BPM. The knob has a range of 60 to 180 BPM, but you can go further using other methods.

Tap tempo

Tap tempus repeatedly to set the tempo by feel.

Typing a value

Hold tempus and type your desired BPM using the number paeds. The full range is 40 to 399 BPM. Use the . (decimal) paed to add decimal precision, for example 120.51 BPM.

Metronome volume

While in tempus mode, turn knoby to adjust the metronome volume during recording. To enable the metronome during playback as well, turn this on in system settings.

Time signature

Press manus and tempus together to change the time signature for the current pattern. Use knobx and knoby to adjust the numerator and denominator.
