How do I use the FM radio?
The FM radio is an input source on the OP-1 that you can use for sampling or recording. It receives stations from 64-108 MHz.
Accessing the Radio
Press SHIFT + Mic to open the input source menu. Turn the blue encoder to select FM radio from the list of sources.
Tuning Stations
Once FM radio is selected, press the green encoder to auto-scan and find available stations. The OP-1 will automatically search the frequency range and lock onto broadcasts.
Using Radio as an Input
In Synth or Drum mode with the sampler engine active, press the Mic key to start recording audio from the radio. Release to stop.
In Tape or Mixer mode, the Mic key toggles the radio input on/off. You can then record it to tape like any other audio source.
Improving Reception
Connect headphones or a cable to the line-in port. The cable acts as an external FM antenna and significantly improves signal strength, especially in areas with weak reception.
