How do I save a sound?
OP-1tutorialguide
You can save a sound on the OP-1 using two methods: storing it to a sound slot, or dumping it to tape.
Option 1: Save to sound slot
Hold the corresponding sound key (1-8) for five seconds. The sound is stored in the "snapshot" folder, named by date and time. You can rename it via USB (max 10 characters, avoid unusual symbols).
Option 2: Dump to tape
- 1.Press Lift while in Synthesizer or Drum mode.
- 2.Switch to Tape mode.
- 3.Find an empty space on the tape.
- 4.Press Drop. The sound is converted to sound data on the tape.
To recall a sound that was dumped to tape, press Lift in Tape mode, switch back to Synthesizer or Drum mode, then press Drop.
Accessing saved sounds via USB
- 1.Press Shift + COM.
- 2.Select Disk mode.
- 3.Find your sounds inside the Synth or Drum folders, or in the snapshot subfolder.
Note: The sound data recorded to tape is very loud, so protect your ears when playing it back.
