You can save a sound on the OP-1 using two methods: storing it to a sound slot, or dumping it to tape.

Option 1: Save to sound slot

Hold the corresponding sound key (1-8) for five seconds. The sound is stored in the "snapshot" folder, named by date and time. You can rename it via USB (max 10 characters, avoid unusual symbols).

Option 2: Dump to tape

  1. 1.Press Lift while in Synthesizer or Drum mode.
  2. 2.Switch to Tape mode.
  3. 3.Find an empty space on the tape.
  4. 4.Press Drop. The sound is converted to sound data on the tape.

To recall a sound that was dumped to tape, press Lift in Tape mode, switch back to Synthesizer or Drum mode, then press Drop.

Accessing saved sounds via USB

  1. 1.Press Shift + COM.
  2. 2.Select Disk mode.
  3. 3.Find your sounds inside the Synth or Drum folders, or in the snapshot subfolder.

Note: The sound data recorded to tape is very loud, so protect your ears when playing it back.
