To save a sound in synth or drum mode, hold down one of the sound keys (1-8 on the right side) for about 5 seconds. The sound will be saved to that preset slot and stored in the snapshot folder.

Saving Methods

There are two main ways to save sounds:

Quick Save to Preset Slot

Hold any sound key (1-8) for approximately 5 seconds. The current sound and all its parameters will be saved to that slot. These presets are stored as .aif files in the user folder within the synth or drum directories.

Save to Tape

You can also save a sound to tape for later use. Press LIFT in synth or drum mode to copy the sound to memory. Switch to tape mode and press DROP to place it as audio on the selected track.

File Management

Keep preset names to 10 characters maximum for best results. You can organize sounds by creating custom folders within the synth and drum directories when connected in USB disk mode (SHIFT + COM). All synthesis data is embedded in the .aif files, so you can transfer sounds between devices or back them up to your computer.

Undo Edits

If you want to recall the last saved version of your current sound, press SHIFT + Synth or SHIFT + Drum to undo any edits you've made since the last save.
