The Finger sequencer lets you play two sequences together, with each white key on the musical keyboard representing a different pattern.

Getting started

  1. 1.Press shift + sequencer key to open the sequencer browser, select Finger, then press the sequencer key to exit.
  2. 2.Press and hold a white key on the musical keyboard to start playing a pattern.
  3. 3.Press a second white key to layer a second pattern alongside the first.

Combining patterns

Depending on your playback mode (set with shift + orange encoder), pressing a second key will either:

  • Join, layering both patterns together
  • Replace, switching when you release the first key
  • Fill in, playing the second pattern as a fill

Editing patterns

  • Insert a note: shift + any musical keyboard key
  • Move cursor: turn the blue encoder
  • Erase notes: hold shift and turn the blue encoder
  • Adjust pattern length: turn the white encoder
  • Add swing: turn the green encoder (50% is no swing)
  • Enable hold mode: turn the orange encoder until Hold lights up

Synth vs Drum mode

Finger works in both modes but displays differently. In synth mode you see two keyboard players, and in drum mode two gorillas appear on screen.
