How do I use Album mode?
OP-1tutorialguide
Album mode lets you mix down your 4-track tape recordings to a final stereo file. It's essentially your export function, capturing everything from the master output including EQ, effects, and drive.
Basic Recording
- 1.Press Mixer key, then press T1 to switch to Album mode
- 2.Make sure your tape is ready and all mixer settings (levels, EQ, effects) are how you want them
- 3.Press Record (T1) in Album mode to arm it
- 4.Switch to Tape mode and press Play to start playback
- 5.Switch back to Album mode and press Stop when finished
Two Sides Available
Album mode provides two 6-minute sides (A and B) for recordings. These persist through power cycles but get overwritten when you record again, so export them via USB disk mode before making new recordings.
Export Your Mix
Connect via USB disk mode (SHIFT + COM). You'll find SideA.aif and SideB.aif in the Album folder. Copy these to your computer.
Important Note
Individual tape track exports (track_1.aif through track_4.aif) contain raw recordings without any mixer settings applied. Only Album mode captures your final mix with EQ, master effects, and drive processing.
