How do I use Album mode?
OP-1tutorialguide
Album mode lets you mix down all four tape tracks into a stereo recording saved on your OP-1. It captures everything from the master output, including EQ, effects, and drive settings.
Getting to Album mode
Press shift + album key to enter COM mode, then navigate back, or simply press the album key directly to open the Album screen.
Recording to Album
- 1.Set up your tape tracks and mixer settings as desired, since everything from the master out will be captured.
- 2.Press T1 (the record key in Album mode) to arm recording.
- 3.Switch to Tape mode and press play to start playback.
- 4.When finished, switch back to Album and press stop.
Things to know
- You have two sides, Side A and Side B, each with 6 minutes of recording time.
- Switch sides to record a second mix without overwriting the first.
- Recording to the same side a second time will overwrite the previous recording, so export before doing this.
Exporting your Album recording
Connect via USB, press shift + com, and select Disk mode. The files are located in the album folder as "sideA.aif" or "sideB.aif". Drag them to your computer to save.
Note that individual tape track exports from the tape folder will not include your mixer EQ, effects, or drive. Album is the way to capture your final processed mix.
