How do I move or shift tape tracks?
OP-1tutorialguide
You can lift, slide, and drop individual takes on the tape, or lift all tracks at once to reposition your recorded material.
Sliding a take
Use shift + blue encoder to slide a take left or right along the tape. A take can only be slid until its start or end point runs into another take.
Lifting and dropping a take
- 1.Select the track you want to edit by pressing T1, T2, T3, or T4.
- 2.Use the blue encoder to scrub, or use rewind and FF, to position the take under the tape head until it turns blue.
- 3.Press lift (arrow up) to lift the take into memory.
- 4.Scrub to where you want to place it, then press drop to paste it. You can press drop multiple times to paste multiple copies, and the tape advances to the end of each dropped take.
Lifting all tracks at once
Hold shift + lift to lift all four tracks into memory simultaneously. This is useful when you want to move your entire arrangement or bounce all tracks into the sampler.
Joining takes
Press shift + split to join the nearest take on either side of the active one. Repeat to join multiple takes together.
