There are two ways to erase recorded material from the tape on the OP-1, either selectively or all at once.

Erasing a single take

The quickest way to remove a specific take is to use the lift function.

  1. 1.Press Tape to enter tape mode and select the track containing the take you want to remove.
  2. 2.Use the Blue encoder to scrub, or press Stop to center the take under the tape head until it turns blue.
  3. 3.Press Lift (arrow up) to remove the take from the tape. It is held in memory, so if you change your mind press Drop to place it back.

Erasing the entire tape

This permanently wipes all recorded material from all four tracks and cannot be undone.

  1. 1.Press Shift + Tape to enter the tape erase function.
  2. 2.Press all four track keys T1, T2, T3, and T4 to confirm. Once all four are pressed, the tape is wiped forever.

Before erasing everything, consider backing up your tape over USB first. Connect the OP-1, press Shift + Com, select disk mode, and copy the four track files from the tape folder to your computer.
