How do I connect via USB?

The OP-1 connects to a computer via the USB mini-B port on the right side of the device. This connection handles audio streaming, charging, file transfers, and MIDI.
What you can do over USB
- Charge the battery
- Transfer files to and from the OP-1 in disk mode
- Stream audio to and from your computer
- Send and receive MIDI data
Accessing disk mode for file transfers
- 1.Press shift + COM (album key) to enter COM mode.
- 2.Press T3 (the Disk key) to enter disk mode.
- 3.The OP-1 will appear as a removable drive on your computer's desktop.
- 4.Double-click the disk icon to browse your files, including tape tracks, album recordings, and sound presets.
Using USB audio
To record audio from your computer to the OP-1 tape, select the OP-1 as your computer's audio output, then press shift + mic on the OP-1 and choose USB as the input source.
MIDI over USB
In standard OP-1 mode, the device listens and transmits MIDI notes on channel 1 by default. You can change the channel with shift + blue encoder.
