How do I backup my OP-1?
OP-1tutorialguide
You can back up your OP-1 by connecting it to a computer via USB and using Disk mode. This saves all your sounds, tape tracks, and album recordings.
Entering Disk Mode
- 1.Connect your OP-1 to your computer using the USB cable.
- 2.Press shift + COM (the album key) to enter COM mode.
- 3.Press T3 (the Disk key) to enter Disk mode. The OP-1 will appear as a removable disk on your computer.
Backing Up Everything
- 1.Double-click the OP-1 disk icon on your computer to see all internal files.
- 2.Drag all files from the OP-1 to a backup folder on your computer.
What Gets Saved
All files are stored as.aif files, including:
- Tape tracks (track_1.aif through track_4.aif, in the "tape" folder)
- Album recordings (sideA.aif and sideB.aif, in the "album" folder)
- Synth and drum sound presets, including your own snapshots
A Note on Tape Exports
Individual tape track files will not have any mixer EQ, master effects, or drive applied. If you want a final mix with all processing included, record to Album first, then back up the album file.
