Copy/paste on the EP-40 lets you duplicate patterns and scenes:

Copy a pattern: 1. Select the source group (A, B, C, or D) 2. Hold shift + press copy 3. The pattern is stored in clipboard

Paste a pattern: 1. Select the destination group 2. Hold shift + press paste 3. Pattern is duplicated to new location

Copy between groups: 1. Copy pattern from Group A 2. Select Group B 3. Paste — now Group B has the same pattern 4. Useful for layering or creating variations

Copy a scene: 1. Navigate to source scene 2. Hold shift + copy 3. Navigate to destination scene slot 4. Hold shift + paste 5. All group patterns are copied together

Copy sounds: 1. Enter sound mode 2. Select source pad 3. Shift + copy 4. Select destination pad 5. Shift + paste 6. Sound assignment is duplicated

Tips:

  • Copy before modifying (non-destructive workflow)
  • Build song sections by copying and varying
  • Copy artist track elements to new projects
  • You can paste to occupied slots (overwrites)
