Available effects:
- EQ — 3-band per channel
- Compressor — Per channel
- Send effects — Reverb, delay
- Master effects — Final processing
Channel EQ: 1. Select channel 2. Use encoder for frequency selection 3. Boost or cut frequencies 4. Three bands: low, mid, high
EQ tips:
- Cut mud around 200-400Hz
- Boost presence at 2-5kHz
- Cut instead of boost when possible
- Subtle moves are usually best
Compressor: 1. Per-channel compression available 2. Tames dynamics 3. Makes quiet parts louder, loud parts quieter 4. Use on vocals and instruments
Send effects: 1. Each channel has send level 2. Send to reverb or delay 3. Wet signal returns to master 4. Adjust send per channel for blend
Reverb:
- Adds space and ambience
- Great for vocals and melodics
- Use sparingly on bass
- Settings: size, decay, damping
Delay:
- Echo/repeat effect
- Syncs to tempo or free time
- Feedback controls repeats
- Use sends for dub throws
Master section effects:
