How do I factory reset the EP-133?
KO IItutorialguide
To factory reset your EP-133, you need to format the device's internal drive. This removes all projects, samples, and settings.
How to Factory Reset
- 1.Turn off the device completely.
- 2.Hold SHIFT + ERASE while powering it back on.
- 3.Keep holding both buttons until "FMT" appears on the display (takes about 10 seconds).
- 4.Release the buttons and wait for the format to complete.
- 5.Update to the latest firmware afterward by connecting via USB-C and visiting teenage.engineering/apps/update.
When to Use This
Use a factory reset if you encounter file-system errors like E.10, E.11, E.12, or E.05. It's also useful if you want to completely wipe the device and start fresh.
Warning
This permanently deletes all your content. There's no undo. If you want to preserve anything, transfer your samples to a computer using the EP Sample Tool first, or back up individual sounds before resetting.
