How do I use the built-in sounds?
The EP-1320 comes with a curated medieval sound library:
Accessing sounds: 1. Press the sound button 2. Select a group (A, B, C, D) 3. Use plus/minus to browse sounds 4. Press pads to audition
Sound categories:
Group A (typically drums):
- Medieval drums (tabor, frame drums)
- Timpani and kettledrums
- Hand percussion
- Impact sounds
Group B (typically bass):
- Deep drums
- Low strings
- Droning bass
- Sustained low tones
Group C (melodic):
- Harps and lyres
- Lutes and strings
- Horns and brass
- Wind instruments
Group D (textures):
- Vocal chants
- Choirs
- Atmospheric sounds
- Effects and accents
Assigning sounds: 1. In sound mode, select target pad 2. Browse the library 3. When you find a sound, press the pad to assign 4. Exit sound mode to use
Sound editing: 1. Select a pad with a sound 2. Press shift + sound for edit mode 3. Adjust parameters: - Pitch (transpose) - Amplitude (volume) - Start/end points - Effects send
Multisamples: Some EP-1320 sounds are multisampled instruments that play different samples across the pads (like a harp with different strings). These are indicated in the library.
Tip: Combine the medieval library with your own samples for unique hybrid sounds.
