How do I factory reset the EP-1320?

A factory reset will delete all user content and settings but keep the factory ROM sounds intact. Always update the firmware after resetting.

Reset Process

1. 1.Power off the EP-1320 completely.
2. 2.Hold altero + erado together.
3. 3.While holding both buttons, power on the device.
4. 4.Keep holding until "FMT" appears on the display (this takes about 10 seconds).
5. 5.Release the buttons and wait for the format to complete.

After Reset

The device will restart with factory settings. All your user samples, projects, patterns, and system settings will be erased. The 96 MB of factory medieval sounds (samples 1-220) remain intact since they're stored in protected ROM.

Connect the device to your computer via USB-C and visit teenage.engineering/apps/update to install the latest firmware. This ensures the device runs properly with fresh system files.
