Capstone: Full Track, Start to Finish on the KO II

Arrange your scenes in Song mode into a complete track, then capture it.

  1. Commit your sections. Build a few patterns, then COMMIT each one (SHIFT + MAIN) to lock it as a scene: intro, verse, chorus. Committing freezes the current pattern state into a recallable scene so you can move on without losing it. (Each committed pattern becomes a numbered scene you can recall later. If nothing seems to save, you likely tapped MAIN alone instead of holding SHIFT first.)
  2. Enter song mode. Hold MAIN and press the ENTER pad to open song mode, where scenes get placed onto a timeline instead of looping one at a time. (The display switches to the song timeline view. If you are still hearing a single looping pattern, you are not in song mode yet, so check that MAIN stayed held while you pressed ENTER.)
  3. Arrange the scenes. Use MINUS / PLUS to lay your scenes out in order along the song: intro, then verse, chorus, verse, and so on. (You should see your scenes lined up as a sequence on the timeline in the order you placed them. If a section repeats too long or cuts off early, adjust how many times that scene is set to play.)
  4. Play the whole thing. Press PLAY to hear your track run from the first scene to the last as one continuous arrangement. (You should hear the full track play top to bottom, with the scenes transitioning in the order you set. If a transition sounds abrupt, note which scene change it is so you can smooth it on the next pass.)
  5. Capture your track. Record the master out from the OUTPUT JACK into your computer or phone, or resample the full mix and pull it off with the EP Sample Tool over USB. (You should end up with an audio file of your finished track that plays back exactly like the arrangement you just heard. If the file is silent or clipped, check your output level and recording input before doing another take.)
