midi - connect ko ii to other gear, computers, and controllers

ko ii has: MIDI in, MIDI out, and USB-MIDI (via USB-C)

midi in - receive data:
- play ko ii from an external keyboard
- receive clock/transport from a DAW
- sync tempo from other hardware

midi out - send data:
- sequence external synths from ko ii
- send clock to other gear
- per-pad MIDI output (see midi-out topic)

usb-c does multiple things:
- MIDI over USB to computer (no interface needed)
- powers the unit
- firmware updates
- sample transfer via the app

connect a midi keyboard:
plug into MIDI in → keys control the currently selected group
velocity and note data are received
